Meet The Board

  • An engineer, contractor, and developer, Ed O’Neill is the owner of Drilling & Construction Company and also a Board member of Let There Be Hope (Medical Research Foundation) and Topanga Historical Society.

  • Aakash Ranavat serves as Chief Business Officer at PlayVS (an amateur esports platform). Formerly, he was Head of Business Operations & Strategy at Intuit. Aakash is also involved with The Boys & Girls Club along with the American India Foundation

  • Sherry Jason has been involved in the Arts for most of her life. She was a soloist with Ballet Concerto and has taught Ballet for over 50 years. In 1979, she founded Ballet for Topanga, for which she created and choreographed The Topanga Nutcracker Ballet for 39 years. She received her B.A. in Psychology from UCLA and her Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law.

  • Bob Jason spent his entire legal career as an Attorney in the L.A. County Public Defender’s Office. Over the course of his 49 years in the Office, he studied and researched the causes and effects of crime and punishment, developing theories and concepts which later were implemented in the creation and founding of City Hearts: Kids Say Yes to the Arts. He co-produced and starred in the Topanga Nutcracker Ballet, and continues his interest in social issues. Bob received his B.A. in Political Science from UCLA and his Juris Doctor from Hastings College in San Francisco.

  • A Baltimore native, Nikiva Dionne studied Fashion in New York where she also began her Modeling career before moving to Los Angeles. As an Actress with recurring roles in several hit television series, she can be seen on ABC’s “A Million Little Things” as Shanice Williamson, HBO’s “Insecure” as Stacy Sutton, and the powerful, resilient and intriguing Deputy DA Nia Wells on the CBS hit series “S.W.A.T.” As an entrepreneur, Nikiva is the President and Creator of Lyric Party Game App: “A Party Game for music lovers.”

    Nikiva believes in the transformative power of the Arts and says, “I’m acting, creating and praying that I inspire someone into their purpose. I’ve always enjoyed entertaining but more consistent is my desire to inspire people to operate in their purpose. As an Artist who came from an underserved Arts community, I can't imagine what my journey would have looked like if I had a 'City Hearts' when I was coming up.”

  • Joe Grassi is the Principal of Grassi & Associates Engineer, a specialized engineering service organization with a diverse group of worldwide clients. He was also the Founder and Managing Director of the Maintenance Engineering Council and Consulting Association (MECCA). Mr. Grassi holds a Bachelor of Technology Degree from The City College of New York and a Masters of Business Administration Degree from Pepperdine University.

  • Lilit serves as a US Bank Teller Coordinator, Social Services Coordinator, and Senior Teller. She is fluent in 3 languages, loves financing, and is currently studying accounting.

  • Tracey M. Rinaldi is a Senior Client Relationship Specialist working at Capital Group Private Client Services
